Made by Stevens for Sears labled Eastern Arms: most guns marketed by Sears were under the JC Higgins Label and others as i recall, some were made by Hi Standard,, Winchester and others, this one by Stevens (Savage) ...When sold under the Stevens brand they are called 5100...and are far far nicer than the cheaper 311's and are especially nice in 410. This one like the one in my own collection has brilliant case colors, Younger shooters and collectors will not know the Tenite (plastic) Stocks were designed to simulate high grade heavily figured American Walnut and are attrative for what they are representing a period in time.. The overall conditon of this neat litle gun is excellent , would make a great shooter or interesting collector. This gun has hardly been used desptie it being 60 or more years old.
Double trigger, extractors and will shoot 2 1/2 or 3" 410 shells.
