Description:
General Specs: Winchester, 1928, .32-40, 8lbs. 6oz., LOP 13 3/16"
Serial Number:  1050073

The Winchester Model 1894 was the first lever rifle designed to fire Winchester’s new high-pressure smokeless powder cartridges.  You can just imagine the look on the cowboy’s face when his new special-order Winchester arrived.  The gorgeous wood and fine factory finishes would bring jealous envy from all his family and friends.  This rifle, sn1050073 built in 1928, is a SPECIAL-ORDER RIFLE chambered for .32-40 with features that include a takedown 26” octagon barrel,  a Lyman ivory front sight and Marbles tang peep.  This desirable Model 94 is in REMARKABLE FACTORY ORIGINAL CONDITION with strong, 99% dark factory barrel blue, excellent shiny bore with sharp rifling that rates 9.5 on a scale of 10, receiver blue 98% factory with only light scratches (no flaking), loading gate still has 98% factory charcoal blue, about 97% factory blue on the lever and hammer, and 95% factory finish remaining on the wood.  The wood is on superb condition with no cracks, superb wood-to-metal fit, left side of butt has a patch of notable heavy scratches (we can repair that area in our shop if you wish), the rest of the wood just a few light depressions.  The screws are all perfect.  Most Model 1894 rifles have been used hard, so when you find a 97-year-old Winchester Model 1894 in the highest factory original condition with special-order features it is something to take note of.  This is an opportunity for you to own a factory original special-order Winchester with very desirable features.  The value of collectible Winchester rifles is in the high condition rifles with special-order features and unaltered in any way since leaving the factory.  This Model 1894 qualifies as an investment quality rifle at an affordable price.  When preparing to spend your hard-earned money on a vintage firearm, it makes sense to buy the gun from an established and licenses FFL dealer with a brick-and-mortar storefront, 10 full-time employees, people answering the phone all day 6 days a week.  Anything else is a roll of the dice and gambling.  Review the professional photos that allow you to see the condition of the gun and you will recognize this rifle is the one you want in your collection.  The Winchester Model 1894 is perfect for deer hunting in the wooded areas throughout the country and anywhere a true rifle is warranted.  The .32-40 WCF ammunition is readily available.  See specifications below.  Don’t miss out on your opportunity to own this fine Winchester.  Thanks for looking!
