Description:
This is a Krag bayonet stamped US on the obverse of the ricasso and dated 1899 on the reverse. It measures 16 1/8 inches overall with an 11 1/8 inch fullered blade that has been lightly sharpened with some minor grind wear at the tip and scattered dried oil marks and carbon staining on the blade. The cross guard and pommel have toned to a dark plum-brown. The wood grips rate excellent with some light use marks. It comes in an original first model steel scabbard that retains much of the original finish with scattered light freckling. A very fine Krag bayonet that will look great on your rifle.
