This is a very fine condition, Pre Model 19 - with factory letter and invoice, shipped in 1956. These Combat Magnums were S&W's first medium frame .357's. The letter states that the first med.framed magnum was completed in Nov. 1955 and was serial K 260003, this revolver is K 260972. This gun letters as seen , with a 4" blue barrel, and checkered walnut target stocks. The gun is used with light wear, a slight drag line on the cylinder, slight muzzle wear, a couple of minor dings to the grips. The bore is excellent, the action is crisp and positive.
