Synopsis: Mauser, P08, S42 code, German Luger, 3165f, FB00784 Description: Attractive and all matching Mauser G date Luger, made 1935, 9mmP, SN: 3165f. Standard configuration military Luger with 4” barrel having drift adjustable front sight and fixed "V" notch rear sight. G chamber marking, middle toggle link marked with S/42 code. Full serial number with letter suffix on front of frame with the serial number repeated under the barrel and on left side of receiver. Usual Waffenamt acceptances on right side of receiver. Disassembly shows all matching numbers except for an unnumbered rear toggle pin and a Police magazine whose aluminum base is marked with an enlarged “2/1536/E/L”. Condition: G-VG arsenal reworked dip salt blue that was equally applied to all the small parts that were originally strawed or fire blue. Near excellent grips with dark oil staining and lightly blunted checkering. VG-EXC Magazine with crisp markings on plug. Bright bore, lightly etched with shallow rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. A nice representative G date whose appearance could be easily improved by the proper heat treatment of the small parts. ~~Insured shipping fee of $65; most packages shipped using FedEx 2nd Day.~~
