"NSN, circa 1860's, .60 caliber, .42"" octagonal to round smooth bore barrel. Unique trade gun with an unfinished model 1855 lock plate dated 1858. Barrel and other iron parts show surface oxidation with pitting noted at the bolster. Bore is heavily oxidized, Stock has expected nicks dings and handling wear with minor cracks visible in the serpent side place. Action holds at half and full cock.
