The top left of the receiver is marked with a STEYR logo and "MANNLICHER SCHONAUER M72 / MADE IN AUSTRIA". The right rear of the receiver is marked "3122", a German Eagle proof, an "NPv" proof and a "73" date code. The right front of the receiver is import marked "SIMPSON LTD G'BURG IL". The underside of the bolt handle is marked "22", "NPv", an Eagle proof. The left side of the barrel in front of the rear sight is marked 30-06 Springfield. The right side of the barrel is marked "UNORM M3170 STLF3". The bottom rear of the magazine floorplate is marked with a Steyr logo. The front sight is a brass blade that is dovetailed into a checkered ramped base. The rear sight is a flat topped square notch dovetail set into a tall base on the barrel. The stock is checkered walnut with an oiled finish, pistol grip and Monte Carlo comb and cheekpiece. The pistol grip has a walnut grip cap with white spacer and an inset white diamond. The forend has a rosewood tip with white spacer and there is a brown rubber recoil pad with a Steyr logo on and white spacer on the butt. There are QD sling mounts installed at the butt and on the forend. The scope is a Kahles Wien Helia-Super + 4 S2 Nr.153972 that is very clear. .30-06 Springfield
