These lst generation 444's distinquished by the Monte Carlo Comb and strait Texan Style stock
and 1/2 magazine are not only among our favorite rifles but have continued to grow in collector value and interest and nearly doubled in price over the last 5 or so years are becoming harder and harder to find esp if neaer perfect as this one is.
Originally described by Marliin as having over a ton and a half energy at the muzzle. For the man who likes to hunt with a traditional type rifle there is no game on the continent that cannot be nicely handled with a 444. The Marlin bullsey has fallen out ...these may be purchased at Numrich for a few bucks and hand fitted.
