Description:
This Henry is in the 2k serial range and is an absolutely beautiful gun with brass that has turned an untouched deep butterscotch patina. The barrel has about 90% original blue remaining and a fine bright shiny bore. Excellent markings. Original sights include a blade front and a folding 900 yard rear with most blue remaining. Case colors on the hammer and lever have turned dark. Top of the bolt has virtually all the bright blue. Original follower is in excellent condition. The walnut stock has just a few minor blemishes. A very faint "JB" on the wrist. Most all the high gloss lacquer is in tact. Excellent mechanics. All matching numbers. Rifle has been inspected by Benjamin Tyler Henry himself as noted by the "H" on the lower tang. Original and complete with the early Hickory cleaning rod that is in excellent condition. This one would be hard to improve on.
