Description:
With a serial #4576, in 41 RF, with a 2 1/2” barrel with an oxidized bore. The metal surfaces retain about 85-90% of nickel finish showing scattered light flaking to gray-brown patina and a few sparse old pits. The pistol shows light factory foliate scrollwork engraving , the barrel address is legible and the hammer and trigger are a dark plum-brown patina. The smooth walnut grips rate good showing light dings and a small crack at the back edge of the right panel. The grips and their screw are likely old replacement. Made in Brooklyn, NY 1865 to 1870and the hammer is functional at full cock. Barrel swings to the side using the button on the right side to load. Often carried by gamblers.,
