This Mauser rifle is dated 1943. The rifle's serial number is 32701 a. This gun has the standard 24 inch barrel chambered for the German 8 M/M service round. The bore is bright and minty looking. This rifle shows very little use or service wear. This gun is all matched numbers including the top wood hand guard. This rifle has not been "duffle Bag" cut. The cleaning rod and sight hood are original to this rifle. The issued leather sling is a correct original 98k sling. The original bluing would rate a 97% or better condition. The stock is in very nice condition with no cracks or other wood issues. The action works smoothly and lock up snug. This is a exceptionally fine original unaltered Mauser 98K! Finding original condition unaltered all matched serial number 98K rifles in this fine of condition is a real find today! Being a Mauser produced rifle is a added plus!
