Offered here for sale and newly acquired is this fine quality Ruger Model 77 .30-06 rifle. The Ruger 77 Mark II .30-06 rifle with a 23" stainless steel barrel and laminated stock is a part of Ruger's highly respected M77 series, specifically the Mark II version. The M77 Mark II was introduced in 1989 as an improvement over the original M77, with an emphasis on accuracy and durability. It features a controlled-round-feed bolt action, which is known for its reliability, particularly in harsh conditions.
The .30-06 Springfield is a popular and versatile hunting and sporting caliber, known for its power and long-range capability, making it a great choice for big game hunting. A 23" stainless steel barrel indicates that this rifle is designed to withstand the elements better, with stainless steel providing enhanced corrosion resistance compared to standard blued steel. Thism specimen serial number 792-05396 is all original and appears to be UNFIRED still with its original hang tag. Serial number 792-05396 is likely from the early to mid-1990s. Ruger transitioned from the M77 (which had the "77" prefix) to the Mark II system in 1989, and this serial number would indicate a rifle produced sometime after that change.
