Description:
This is a partial box 47 original rounds, of 32 Long center fire black powder ammunition manufacture by Dominion Cartridge Company circa 1890's. The two piece buff box with green and black label features the early ornate beaver logo with an excellent cartridge cut. The top and side labels are fully intact with crisp excellent graphics showing some pen marks on the top and side. This box also has an excellent, full color insert showing a forest fire and fleeing sportsmen stating "CANADIAN FOREST ARE YOUR HUNTING GROUNDS HELP PRESERVE THEM" with bottom of the back saying it was printed at the request of the Dominion Government by the Dominion Cartridge Company. The box is solid with very good edges and corners having 47 original cartridges. A rarely seen, early Dominion box with the original, desirable fire danger warning insert.
