Description:
Swiss ZFK-55 straight pull sniper rifle chambered in 7.5x 55 mm with a 25" barrel. The ZFK-55 model was introduced in the mid-1950s as a derivative of the K31 rifle. Approximately 4,150 were manufactured by the Bern factory under contracted to the Swiss Government. They were used in military service until they were replaced by SIG 550 semi-automatic sniper rifles. Some features of this ZFK-55 are a heavy-reinforced blade front sight with a tangent rear, combined flash hider and bayonet lug unit integrated into the sight, "Swiss Cross and Shield" engraved on the receiver ring, integrally forged scope bases on the left side of the receiver. Matching serial numbers are present on the barrel, receiver, bolt, magazine, scope and scope container with the magazine also marked "Zf.Kar.", denoting use with a scoped rifle. Markings on the scope are, "KERN AARAU/V=3.5/(view angle symbol)=75 0/00" and features, integral claw bases, three-post reticle with clear glass. The finish on the scope is getting very thin.The stock set is a smooth Beachwood with finger grooves, checkered wrist and folding bipod just ahead of the magazine well. The stock is marked 58 under the butt plate. The leather sling markings are unreadable. Serial 2060 7.5x55mm Swiss
