Jean Tanazacq vintage extremely scarce TRONCAY II with a 5-1/4" blade from 440-C stainless steel stock, engraved "ARCHAMBAULT" on the solid double brass guard, walnut handle, crow's beak shaped solid brass butt cap, wrist thong, five markings on blade: Map of France, Jean Tanazacq, town-company's name, zip code, and wild boar, received on March 10, 1982. One of the very first ever produced such model. Shown with the extremely rare and original "ADVENTURE" brown leather scabbard. All listed Jean Tanazacq knives wil come with the original detailed hand knife record sheet written in the French language along with a complete information about each model. No trade. Knife # 01/41 or JT01 in the original file/recorded sheet. Note: At the time of keeping accurate record, the date, month, year is written in French, therefore in France the first number is the date, not the month as we do here in the U.S.A. So, if you see on the sheet 10.03.82 it mean that the knife was received on March 10, 1982 ! All Jean Tanazacq knives are in an absolute pristine, immaculate, new, mint condition. Produced in the 1980s, only one owner. 6mm flat-sole stainless steel construction. blade with a mirror finish. Brown/black canvas walnut handle. Lanyard hole with leather strap. Hand-sewn brown leather sheath with belt loop and snap closure. The sheath and blade feature the artisan's logo: a wild boar from the Ardennes! And on the other side, the knife is marked with the map of France! The whole thing is in mint condition, as if it had just been manufactured! Superb and exceptional! Owning a Jean Tanazacq model should be a must. This example is spectacular in its simplicity and perfection; you have to hold it in your hands to fully appreciate it!
