A well used original 1863 dated Norwich riled with breech area od the barrel with much pitting from extensive use and the lock plate is well dated , with a federal eagle, date and maker na,me. Action woks well and the nipple is The 40" long barrel has the correct front and rear sight, and the bore has fouling and is smooth bore measuring at the muzzle at .640: Walnut wood is dry and has typical dings and scrapes from wartime use.
