I've seen a few of these Sam Holt double barreled hammer guns in my 58 years full time in the business but never have I seen one in this superb original condition, and in a 12mm (or 410 ga) to boot! Sam Holt was a name used by Sears & Roebuck Company to market arms mostly made in Belgium. They hoped prospective buyers would confuse the name Sam Colt with Sam Holt. The condition on this shotgun warrants the price. I also believe it is in 12mm central fie and not 410 ga. Chamber seems to have a slight bottleneck and is definitely short but sure looks original to me. Barrel is 26 inches in length and definitely twist steel and not for modern ammo. A wonderful little gun from yesteryear.......If you have questions I have answers!
