The early 1900's (circa 1902-05) two piece, black powder box has a very nice primary label with "Center Fire" call out and an excellent cartridge cut with very good color, some small stains and very mild age soiling. The side seal label has the desirable cut of a model 1873 rifle with the later graphic which no longer showed a forward band and has a carbine sight and is about 95-97% intact. The box has professional repairs to the inside top and bottom side seams, but shows still some minor separation.. Most of the cartridges appear correct for the box but do not appear native with varying degrees of age darkening and lead oxidation. A great box that will display well. Price: $445.00 |
