The Winchester Model 12 has been a famed gun for upland game and clay target games, having won many National Championships on the trap and skeet fields.  Known throughout the world as the very finest pump action shotgun ever made, these guns were hand fitted and machined to exacting tolerances.  From the skeet and trap fields to the upland bird cover, and 3 major wars, the Model 12 has been a favorite of American gunners for over 100 years.  This Winchester Model 12 16 Gauge was manufactured in1949 and is serial number 1183195. It is notable for its professionally restored metal and is re-stocked to perfection. This Deluxe gun shows 99% bluing, perfect screws, the 28” barrel features a ‘Money Maker’ vent rib, a mirror bore and is choked FULL. The furniture has stunning figure, a Monte Carlo cheek piece, perfect checkering and just a few handling marks. This beautifully restored gun has a ‘Giant’ safety installed which makes a huge difference especially when wearing gloves and is orientated for left hand shooting. The Model 12 earned the epithet of ‘The perfect repeater’, this example is part of that heritage and is still a force to be reckoned with on the sporting fields and upland hunts.
