United States Rifle, cal .30, Model of 1917 built by Remington in 1918 for WW1. Was shipped to England for lend lease during WW2 and has the red paint added to distinguish it from the .303 Enfields. Curio/Relic, rifle is serviceable and shoots. The stock is original and has the slotted grip. Crisp and clear serial number and flaming bomb cartouche. Given its historical significance, travel history and fantastic quality markings; it is in remarkable shape and a great collectible.
