Description:
General Specs: Winchester, 1948, 12 Gauge, 7lbs. 9oz., Chokes M/F, LOP 15", DAH 2 3/4", DAC 1 1/2"
Serial Number:  19923

The Model 21 is an American icon.  A strikingly handsome gun with the finest steels, gunners in the know have utilized the Winchester M21 in the field and at the club to shoot thousands of rounds without failure.  IF YOU LIKE HEAVY LOADS FOR PHEASANTS OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS THE GUN.   With only 30,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any original Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm.  This Model 21, SN19923 built in 1981, is a fine example of a special-order Winchester Model 21 Trap Grade fully documented by Cody Firearms Museum (see attached Cody info sheet, order sheet, hang tag, instruction booklet).  The Trap Grade came from the factory with more figured wood, a factory installed butt pad, and barrels with a raised matted rib.   THE BARRELS, ACTION, FOREND METAL, TRIGGER GUARD, AND WOOD ARE ALL FACTORY ORIGINAL FINISHES. The 30” barrels retain 99% factory blue and have clean shiny bores, tight ribs, 2 3/4” chambers, double ivory beads, and are choked M/F.  The action retains 98% factory blue, perfect screws, single selective trigger, ejectors, and excellent mechanics with the barrels tight on the hinge pin and breech face, lever right of center.  The trigger guard retains 95% factory blue showing little use over the last 77 years.  The wood is nicely figured on both sides of the stock, and the factory checkering is superb. THE LENGTH OF PULL IS 15” FROM THE FACTORY FOR THOSE TALLER SHOOTERS.  The original factory pad is still pliable and works as designed.  If you want to hunt upland game, doves, waterfowl, any other game, or shoot clay targets with the most recognized of the iconic American double guns, this gun is priced right and ready for another 77 years of service.  Mechanically perfect in every way, this is a shotgun that will increase in value as you enjoy it use.  THERE ARE SO FEW FACTORY DOCUMENTED MODEL 21 GUNS WITH FACTORY ORIGINAL FINISHES LEFT IN THIS WORLD, GUNS THAT HAVEN’T BEEN RESTORED WITH THE DARK, ALMOST PAINT-LIKE FINISH THAT THE REMAINING GUNS HAVE, ARE THAT MUCH MORE DESIRABLE AND RARE.  THIS IS A GREAT FIND!  See specifications below. Thanks for looking, and don’t let this one get away.
