Near new condition, a very high grade Merkel Sidelock Ejector double rifle still stiff on opening. Mint bores, 25 1/2" barrels with front bead, fixed rear blade, fitted with a Shmidt & Bender 4x36 scope w German reticle in claw mounts. Mfg 1978. Highly engraved French gray receiver, double triggers, front set trigger, side clips. Elk (Red Deer) scene on right lockplate, dog/boar on right. Nicely figured stock, 15" lop to black Old English pad, small German cheekpiece. Sling swivels. Essentially a new rifle with a few light handling marks, in a sweet caliber. 8lb w/o scope.
