Description:
The stock is in as new condition. No dents, scratches, scuffs, etc. For decades Howa rifles have been imported into the U.S. from Japan. Companies that marketed Howa rifles in the U.S. include Smith & Wesson, Mossberg, Legacy Sports International and others. This listing is for one as new finished walnut rifle stock. The stock was designed for installation on a Howa Model 1500 bolt action rifle. In addition to being a Model 1500 other properties of a candidate rifle include the following. A standard short action length with guard screw spacing of 7 ¼ inches. ( as example, 223Rem, 243Win, 22-250, 7mm08, 308 & etc) The bottom metal on the barreled action being installed would have the normal flush type magazine with hinged floorplate. A 3 position safety. The barrel channel is inletted for Howa’s 24” heavy varmint-target barrel. A lighter weight barrel could be installed if the owner didn’t mind the free floating barrel. Alternatively, the forearm could be glass bedded to fill the void. The walnut stock has a good looking design. It features a Monte Carlo comb and a cheek piece for right handed shooters. Other features are low gloss finish, checkered pistol grip, checkered forearm, installed sling swivel studs and a 1” HOWA branded recoil pad. The stock is factory reinforced behind the receiver recoil lug (photo #14) The walnut stock has a good amount of grain structure and color variation, so it shows very well. The approx length is 30 ½ inches. The stock weighs 2 lbs & 10 ozs. The stock will be shipped in a corrugated cardboard carton.
I am a private seller, not a business of any sort. As such, I do not have any means of taking credit cards, Pay Pal, personal checks and etc. For payment I accept a Money Order or a Bank Cashier’s Check. Shipment will be made promptly if paid by Postal Money Order. Other forms of payment may take a little longer to clear my bank before shipment is made. Personal or business checks will not be accepted. It is the buyer’s responsibility to assure this purchase is legal to be received in the state and locale it would be shipped to. There is a 3 day from the date of delivery inspection period if the stock is returned unaltered. The stock is priced at $220 plus a flat charge of $35 for shipping.
