Description:
This is a very nice example of a rare and early Colt 1911 manufactured in 1912. All correct and original with roughly 85% of its original high polish bluing. The wear is concentrated mostly on the grip straps, on the high edges, and around the muzzle. Proper vertical 'H' on back of slide and hood of barrel. Comes with a rare and correct early "keyhole" magazine. The bore has good rifling, but thee is light pin-pricking throughout. Fitted with excellent period-correct wood grips (looks like the initials "HAC" are scratched onto the right side.
