Description:
This is a hard to find Savage Model 1904 with original sights and a Savage marked steel buttplate. 18 inch round barrel chambered in 22 S,L & LR caliber with a very good bore. It is in nice condition with the exception of a very serious safety issue. THIS GUN IS DANGEROUS AND SHOULD NOT EVEN BE LOADED! The bolt will not hold in the cocked position. It seems like it is cocking as you close the bolt, when it suddenly drops the hammer/firing pin. If there were a live round in the chamber it would go off very unexpectedly.
