Socket bayonet for use with the Model 1867 Peabody cartridge rifle This uncommon bayonet is identified by it’s dimensions and rather long Picasso compared to other U.S.bayonets.
Socket length is 2.625”. (67mm)
Muzzle ring diameter : .715
Blade length : 18.187
Overall length: 20.812
Triangular blade
Markings: serial Number 2679 , P, BP
Includes original belt scabbard with US emblem on the belt hook . Leather is still in good shape for its age. Bayonet is in very good shape .
