Description:
Easily the single finest Churchill I have handled! This is a wonderful 20ga finished in 1948 and built with 26-1/2" barrels that have Churchill rib. Splinter forend with Anson type push button is nicely checkered with finely engraved irons. The gun was made with single trigger, auto ejectors, and auto safety. Gun is beautifully full coverage scroll and game scene engraved as seen in the photos. The trigger guard and plate are beautifull blued and engraved as well with rolled edge trigger guard. Buttstock is very nicely figured and perfectly laid out best English Walnut with straight grip, gold inlaid shield on toe line, and terminates with a spectacular factory engraved skeleton buttplate. Gun is housed in a contemporary full leather case with makers trade label as seen in the photos. Accompanied by a factory letter on the gun from 1998 outlining the gun as found today. The gun remains in near mint all original condition with virtually all factory original finishes remaining throughout. The gun appears to have been factory test fired and remains virtually unused since then. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are perfect. Gun is very tight just as it was when made! Case is excellent to near mint.
