Description:
Gorgeous "between the wars" Holland and Holland built for George Ford of The Ford Family. Gun built with 26" barrels that have hand cut rib and hand engraved barrel legend. Original Beavertail forend with Anson type pushbutton release and nicely engraved iron. Casehardened sidelock receiver is beautifully engraved in Holland & Holland Royal pattern as seen in the photos. Gun has original blued and engraved trigger guard and made with capped pistol grip walnut buttstock which is beautifully figured. The gun was custom ordered with the top lever slightly offset to the right creating a very clean sighting plane! Gun is housed in its factory original case with accessories.
Gun remains in gorgeous original condition having been used just a bit but well taken care of. Barrel and trigger guard blue is more than 95% original. Case colors are easily 90% bold vivid and original. Stock finishes are excellent and original. Pad remains supple. Case is excellent with minor rubs. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are perfect.
