Description:
This is an extremly rare Remington Model 8 with a 16 1/2" carbine barrelled action! The barrel assembly unfortunately does not match the receiver SN as would be expected on a build like this.These versions do not exist from Remington. The stock work & WWII hardware by CBR, (no longer in business) is unbelievable! Some years ago, I had oportunity to get a few of these custom carbine barrels and decided I wanted to have one made up to look like a Thompson SMG! The stock work is gorgeous and with Lyman rear tang sight, Special .500 high fropnt sight, WWII hardware and Kerr sling installation. I have field tested this rifle and it's performs flawlessy in every respect! The bore is gorgeous, shiney with square edge lands/grooves, the interior parts are excellent! The accuracy is uncanny. I have included a target from 25 yards with 15 rounds fired in one hole! This is the last of it's kind and you will never find another carbine version as they technically do not exist!
