"Serial No. 137845, made circa 1880, .45-70, 24.5" round barrel. Bore is bright with light oxidation visible in the grooves, rifling remains strong. Rifle has been sporterized into a hunting rifle with the barrel and stock being shortened. Beautiful case coloring is noted on the breech. Stock is very good with handsome 1891 cartouche noted. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
