Description:
24 inch barrel. Unmarked for choke and with a Cutts compensator. Winchester referred to them as a "spreader". Nicely figured wood in very good condition with most original varnish. Slight wear to the checkering. Overall gun is in nice condition with a good amount of blue starting to tone on the receiver high points. These model 40's are very scarce. It was Winchester's worst idea. I guess they blew up and everything else. Especially rare is deluxe checkered skeet models. Madis stated that only 37 of these Deluxe Skeets were ever made with checkered wood. Original scarce little gun.
