Custom .450 Bushmaster /Remington 7615 police rifle conversion. This is another rifle that was built a number of years ago as a show gun. The rifle has since lived in the vault. Well it's time someone takes it out after hogs, which is what it was built for.
The 7615 was designed by Remington as a police patrol rifle. Pump action fitted with a AR type magazine.
Starting with the base rifle, we barreled it to .45 cal. With a Lothar Walther barrel blank. Chambered in the readily available 450 Bushmaster cartridge . The Hornady Custom loads a 250 gr. FTX bullet at 2200 fps. In this 18 inch barrel.
Fitted with Brockman's Gen.III sights with a short rail on the rear. As well as a Burris Fast Fire III dot sight.
The metal is finished with Cera Kote matte stainless coating .
The stocks are adjustable comb butt stock with a Limbsaver recoil pad. There is also a short light rail on the right side of the forend.
Recoil on this rifle is quite light in comparison to the same cartridge in an AR-15.
