Weighing 8 lbs ¼ oz, this fine shotgun was manufactured in July 1969 and designed as a dedicated pigeon gun. The trigger plate action features a case color-hardened receiver, adorned with traditional English rose and scroll engraving. It has fixed chokes (70% and Full) and a single, non-selectable trigger. The shotgun is built without a manual safety, intentionally designed for reliability in competition and live-pigeon shooting. Additional specifications include: 14 3/8-inch length of pull with right-hand cast Ventilated and elevated matted rib Pistol grip stock with extended tang and grip cap Highly figured stock with a gold oval Pachmayr recoil pad This shotgun does not include a maker’s case and will be shipped with a copy of the original Purdey specification letter. According to Purdey, its modern replacement value is £163,000 and would take two years to complete. This firearm was originally built for champion Skeet shooter Murray Horwich.  RATING/CONDITION DESCRIPTION: This firearm is pre-owned in excellent condition. Bluing is in near perfect condition, case color is about 70% retained.
