Description:

This belt model Colt Navy was made in 1863 and very well may have been used in the Civil War. It seems the .36 caliper Navy was well liked by soldiers, cowboys and gunman alike and a lot were made.
It is full numbers matching including the barrel wedge. The full serial number is 140018. Also notice the condition of the screw heads that are usually a good indication of how it was treated. It's patina matches its age as this one was used but taken care of. Miner bore pitting yet still strong rifling. The rolled scene on the cylinder is very faint probably due to holster wear? The pistol is fully functional and locks up tight.

At 78 I'm breaking up my collection of 40+ years and looking to pass on my historic pieces.
