Description:
Popular slide action (pump) rifle designed by John Browning & produced by Winchester from 1890-1932. The .22WRF was a slightly more powerful cartridge that was produced. There were approximately 134,000 1890’s made in this caliber. This caliber was introduced in 1890 specifically for the 1890 and remained a factory option until production ended in 1932. This rifle was manufactured in 1912 and remains in its original condition. Both the forearm & stock are free of any cracks or damage with no significant scratches or handling marks to even point out. The finish remains solid throughout with an overall brown patina look, only showing wear along the edges. Holding a 24” octagon barrel with a bore that has strong rifling and moderate pitting throughout. Overall, this is a nice little classic 1890 Take-Down in a desirable caliber. Another great one for the collection!
