Description:
The Colt Police Positive, 1st Issue, was made from 1907 to 1927. The 6-shot double action revolvers were fitted with a 2 1/2, 4, 5, or 6 inch barrel, hard rubber grips through 1923, walnut safter, built on a square butt frame, blue or nickel finished, and chambered in .32 Colt, .32 New Police, .38 New Police, or .38 S&W cal.. This 1919 vintage Police Positive is as described and is fitted with a 6 inch barrel, is blue finished, and chambered in .38 New Police. The gun is in fine original condition, retaining 50-60% original blue. The grips fit OK, have started to turn a brown patina (mostly on the left grip), and are in fine condition, with no cracks or chips. The bore is bright, with sharp rifling, and the action functions with the exception, when the gun is slow cocked, all 6 cylinders do not lock-up until the trigger is squeezed, double action function is fine.
