About Us: I have collected interesting firearms for over 50 years. Now I feel that it is time to start selling a few things. All firearms transactions will be handled by a local Gun shop who will follow all firearms laws. All firearms purchased will be shipped by them to your F.F.L. I do my best to price my items fairly. Description:
Pre-Warning RUGER no. 1 Tropical Rifle chambered in the ledgendary .375 H&H Magnum cartridge. The 375 H&H was introduced in 1912 and has, in its 113 year history, taken nearly every type of dangerous game on earth. While it remains a very effective African cartridge, it is still used effectively on elk and moose. This one was built in 1972 and is in amazing shape for being 53 years old. It qualifies as a curio and relic. Being an early vintage, it has the sculptured checkering panels on the pistol grip. The Rifle appears to have been shot very little, with only a few tiny marks on the walnut stock. The metal is excellent and the bore looks perfect. The Ruger rings are not included with this rifle but are available from Ruger as well as other retailers. It has a barrel band that holds a sling swivel and has the Alexander Henry forearm. The rifle also sports the original Ruger red rubber buttpad. Overall, this is a very nice, original, early Ruger No.1 Tropical rifle. Please check out the photos and contact me with any questions.
