Description:
"NSN, circa 1840's, .75 caliber, 41"" round smooth bore barrel. Bore is fair with oxidation visible throughout.. The barrel has a dark patina with areas of light to moderate pitting, especially in the nipple area. The lock is very good with a crown/ Potsdam/ GL. Brass furniture is very good. The tang of the butt plate is dated “1835". The action functions correctly. Many of these Potsdam muskets were used in the Civil War.
