Rare Sioux Indian shield cover & Buffalo hide wristlets.  Recovered from the Wounded Knee Massacre by Major Samuel Whitside, 7th U.S. Calvary. A letter is included from General Richard Armstrong, who acquired the items from the Whitside family, attesting to the authenticity of the items and Recounting the story of their recovery by Major Whiteside. Included is a note written in the Lakota language which was kept with the items by Major Whiteside. A rare opportunity to own a piece of history from the most famous battle of the old west.
