This is a fine piece of highly figured Circassian Walnut wood cut into a gun blank. This comes from an old New England gunsmith who put aside a lifetime supply in his dry barn where it has slowly aged from 40 to 60 years. It measures 19 1/2 inches in length and is 8" wide at the base tapering to 4" at the top and is 2" thick at the base and 1 3/4" at the top weighing 4lbs 10oz..
