Description:
Offered is a S&W Hand Ejector Model of 1896 revolver. It is housed in a British style English Walnut case with a John Blanch & Son of London label. The revolver has beautiful pearl grips with the gold S&W medallions. The grips are free from cracks and chips and remain in excellent condition. The nickel finish is void of any peeling and would rate 98-99%. There are a few small spots on the side of the frame but they are minor. The gun is mechanically perfect as is the bore. The gun looks like it was purchased and sat in the case for the last 125 plus years. John Blanch & Son Gun & Rifle makers began in1809 and is one of the oldest gun makers in London. The beautiful figured English Walnut case is in remarkably good condition and the case includes the key that locks the case perfectly. The case does not have any cracks and the blue lining would rate 98%. This is the first model manufactured by Smith & Wesson with the swing out cylinder. The revolver has the 3 1/4” barrel with the fixed blade front sight. The swing out cylinder is marked "Smith & Wesson -Springfield Mass - U.S.A. Patented - July 1. 84. - April 9. 89. - March 27. 94. - May 29. 94. - May 21. 95. - July 16. 95”. The serial number is marked on the butt and reads: 4780. The S&W logo is shown on the right side of the frame. This is the finest S&W Hand Ejector Model of 1896 revolver that I have encountered. I offer a three-day non-firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped with insurance directly to you in the continental United States for $65. This gun was made before 1899 and does not require a license for transfer as it is classified as an antique. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information.
