This unique gun is built on a No. 1 frame with factory original 26” Bernard Steel brls, 2-3/4” chambers, that have matted concave top riband rib legend “PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN, CONN. BERNARD STEEL.”. Brl flats with large “B’ stamped, grade stamp “5” and unstruck brl weight 3lbs. 4oz. The splinter forearm is nicely checkered in point and diamond pattern and forearm has scroll engraved steel tip, Deeley latch release, and iron. Casehardened boxlock receiver is beautifully engraved in the popular “Roundel” pattern with Setter on right Pointer on left in relief circles towards rear of frame and 2 flying birds engraved in circle towards front and both sides with fine scroll and “PARKER BROS” in banner extending between screws. Fences are scroll engraved and beaded. Gun special ordered without safety and top tang is factory engraved over the safety slide cutout. Bottom of frame with scroll triangle and trigger plate with flying bird at top, 2 running elk at center, and fine scroll engraving. The blued trigger guard with burst of floral scroll on bow, SN at tang. The finely figured gold capped pistol grip buttstock has checkered side panels with carved fleur-de-lis, is checkered in flowing wave pattern through the wrist and terminates with its blued and scroll engraved skeleton steel buttplate. Gun remains in beautiful overall condition as faithfully restored long ago by Brad Bachelder. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are excellent. Absolutely no faults in this rare bird!
