Description:
Shows very little use, very early 300 Weatherby built on FN action. These early versions had the safety on the bolt.
This beauty shows very little use, amazing since it's pushing 70 years old. Set up for standard FN scope mounts.
Someone before me cherished it as I have. It is still all original right down to the Weatherby recoil pad, no extra holes.
I used it's twin in Alaska in the mid 70s with great effect on mountain goats, a Brown bear and many Alaskan Sitka black tail deer.
A bit much for the deer but the Brown bear were prevalent on the islands where we hunted deer, it was good insurance.
No big hunts in my future so time to sell.
