Description:
Serial #62606, .22 RF, 3 3/16" barrel with a very good, lightly pitted bore. This is a very handsome revolver that has matching assembly numbers on the frame, barrel, and cylinder ("R4") and has retained about 95-97% of the original nickel finish, with some specks of plum-brown freckling along the edge of the sideplate and couple of small spots of flaking on the right side of the frame just above the spur trigger. The rosewood grips are original and numbered to the gun on the interior, with minor handling marks and small blemishes scattered about, as well as some mild wear to the varnish around the butt. The lock-up is still tight and there is no lateral play in the barrel. The revolver is housed in a period wooden case with dark blue velvet lining and a red label UMC box containing 49 cartridges. This is a very nice No. 1 S&W, and is in fine condition overall. Antique
