Offered for sale this week is a nice example of a WW2 era Winchester 1897 Riot Shotgun. This one has a barrel date of "41". All original blueing and in high condtion. This is a takedown model. The wood is also original finish. These guns were generally used long and hard by either Military units or Law Enforcement agencies making nice clean examples like this one quite scarce. Cyl marked barrel. Action cycles well and it appears to have no issues. Cody letter dates this shotgun to July 1941
