Thank you! Description: Yes, people will often list a gun as rare when it really isn't, but when was the last time you saw a Rossi Overland in 16ga? I'm guessing you never have so yes, this is EXTREMELY RARE. I've seen plenty of Rossi Overlands, all in either 12, 20, or .410, they are easy to find. But have you ever seen one in 16ga? Even the Blue Book of Gun Values doesn't list one. Well, I've been finding Rossis for about 25 years, but never seen one in 16ga, until now. And this one is in really nice, I would call excellent, condition. It's an early gun with a beautiful high-gloss finish on the stock, factory buttplate, and the Greener-style action. The action on this is still stiff, so along with the excellent condition indicates that this has seen little use. This a really nice, really rare, Rossi Overland. You won't find another. The barrels are 26" and as you can see in the photo are marked 16ga, 2 3/4" with one barrel Full Choke and the other Modified Choke. The serial number is S12531, making it a very early Rossi. (Rossi Overland serial numbers have either an "S" prefix, or a "T" prefix. The "S" prefix guns are earlier and this one is only a 5-digit number.). This also has factory sling swivels, which are somewhat rare but I have run across them from time to time. This gun was imported by the Garcia Sporting Arms, Washington DC which the early ones were. If you're not familiar with the Rossi Overland, they are great guns, which unfortunately are no longer manufactured. The external hammers are functional (guess I need to specify this because some modern hammered side-by-sides aren't) and they don't have that rdiculous, and unnecessary tang safety that you'll find on all other modern hammered guns. I've used Rossi Overlands for years in Cowboy shooting and they never fail me. They are solid, well-built, and always work. Please contact me if you have any questions. I have more photos and will be happy to send them to you. Please know that this will be shipped from a private individual. Please make sure that your dealer will accept it. I'm happy to include a copy of my driver's license which so far has satisfied everybody. Also, please remember that it is your responsibility to contact your dealer and get a copy of their FFL to me. Price: $3000 including shipping to your dealer in any of the lower 48 states where allowed by law. Shipping to Hawaii and Alaska will be higher, as long as it's legal.
