Colt Commando .38 special revolver serial number 33001, “…one of 300 shipped to the Massachusetts National Guard, State Guard Supply Depot, Commonwealth Armory, Boston, on 2/25/44 and 3/22/44. It is marked with the Ordnance insignia and "G.H.D." on the upper left frame and roll marked "MASS." by the factory on the butt.” (Pate, U.S. Handguns of World War II). Colt Archives letter included.
Excellent condition with the original parkerized finish and correct plastic grips. Crisp action with tight lock-up and a bright bore.
