Description:
Early production (2/43) 4" Colt Commando revolver in .38 Special with original parkerized finish and correct plastic grips. According to the Colt Archives Letter, this particular example was supplied to the Belmont Radio Corporation in Chicago, Illinios through the DSC program in March of 1943. The Defense Supplies Corporation (DSC) was established to provide arms and ammunition to the thousands of non-military guards and police charged with protecting America’s munitions plants, war production factories, and dozens of other sensitive sites.  The bottom of one grip panel is etched "12", and the bottom of the grip frame has been marked with "BEL. No12". The overall condition is excellent. The action is crisp with tight lock up, and a clean bore. Free Shipping...
