Double action, checkered ebony stock bag grip with lanyard ring. Finished blue with gold line engraving and casehardened receiver. Manufactured in 1894 by Charles Spirlet, the son of Albert as a Government Prize for the Worlds Fair in Antwerp, Belgium. The barrel is engraved in gold " PRIX DU GOUVERNMENT" on the top. "AL. SPIRLET & Cie" along the side. Also " acier fondu" ( melted or fluid steel) is stamped on the underside. In beautiful original condition with a high polish blue and delicate gold line engraving.
