Description:
Rifle is in gorgeous original condition and the wood is absolutely stunning. There are absolutely no signs of salt, all metal contact points are clean including underneath the stock. Hand skip line or basket weave checkered stock is expertly crafted and has some of the best grain I've seen on one of these rifles. Barrel, receiver, and floor plate are tastefully engraved and compliment the wood perfectly. These really are some of the best guns Browning produced and the level of craftsmanship involved would be an astronomical cost if made today.
The bolt is very nicely jeweled and serial numbered to the gun.
The only imperfections are a very small ding on the backside of the cheek piece and some very light finish crazing in the stock. You will look a long time to find one nicer, this rifle truly looks like it was barely used!
